Wars of the Roses
On Saturday May 4th 1471, Queen Margaret of Anjou’s army stood before a Yorkist army commanded by King Edward IV on the outskirts of the small Abbey town of Tewkesbury. Her field commander, Edmund Beaufort, Duke of Somerset, was reluctantly forced to stand and fight rather than risk being caught fording the River Severn at Gloucester; their original intention being to link up with a large experienced Lancastrian army in the Welsh Marches commanded by Jasper Tudor and tackle the Yorkist army with more favourable odds. The ensuing battle was to be the last throw of the dice for the beleaguered Lancastrian cause, and one in which the Queen would lose everything, including her 18 year old son, Edward, Prince of Wales, the last true heir to the Lancastrian throne. Players don’t need to bring anything.

1000 sq km
WWI Naval - Computer based
COMPUTER Wargame of the year 2008. The German fugitives Goeben and Breslau are sailing to meet a collier, and will then continue on to the Dardanelles and Constantinople, with the hope of bringing the Ottoman Empire into the Great War (on the side of the Central Powers). The Royal Navy's First Cruiser Division of four armored cruisers and their destroyer escorts are in position to block them. Historically, the British ships turned back during the night, considering the German battle cruiser to be a superior force beyond 16,000 yards and knowing they could not make the interception before dawn. This scenario explores what may have happened had Admiral Troubridge continued on and attacked Admiral Souchon in daylight. Players should be 18 years or older. Feel free to bring your own PC (monitors and keyboards provided) or laptop. We will have several PCs available to use if you like.

Combat Mission Shock Force PC

50 Sq Km
Modern - Computer based
An entire regular Iraqi Army division, the 1st Infantry Division, is operating in the area as part of the defenses of the town of Dar el as Sud. A factory complex a few kilometers east of the town has been converted into a fortified outpost, and U.S. Recon is reporting unusually high activities by tanks and armored vehicles. A task force consisting of SBCT and HBCT elements is going to assault the factory complex in preparation for the main attack on the town itself. The primary goal of the mission is to break through the exterior defensive belt and clear the factory compound of enemy units. The plan is to occupy the complex, including all buildings, while inflicting the maximum casualties on the Iraqi forces and suffering as few as possible in return. The assault on the factory complex is a supporting action for the main attack on the town the next day. It is important to retain operational capability of the forces involved in this assault for use in the main attack on the town of Dar el as Sud, as well as dealing with any possible enemy counterattacks. This is a PC based game, and all computers will be provided.
